The Gamfratesi studio was created by Danish designer Stine Gam and Italian designer Enrico Fratesi. Their work combines different influences, from classic Italian Design to Scandinavian traditions. The Beetle chair is inspired by the shape of the scarab. The seat and back are made from two padded shells with curved lines like the insect’s shell. The tapered legs in black-tinted birch make reference to a beetle’s legs. All these elements are perfectly connected and crafted in a fluid manner. In this version, the inner seat is upholstered and covered in a beautiful English-style fabric for a very sophisticated, glamorous look.
